Earrings for Men?
What does it mean when a man wears an earring? Is it a good thing? Would you recommend it? A recent poll elicited differing opinions from diverse sources. One woman said that it is quite common in her profession for men to wear a single stud earring in one ear. She found it quite fashionable. Her profession? She’s works on a boat with professional fishermen. She said it shows a kind of individual spirit.
One woman mentioned that she likes hoop earrings on men when they wear them in both ears. She doesn’t like that simple ’stud in one ear’ look. She said it reminds her of the 80’s. Who would want to go back to the 80’s? Some of us. Moving on…
Now another woman explained that some guys can wear earrings and some cannot. It depends on the style or look of the man. Like some men look great in a trench coat and others look like perverts, earrings can be the same. She also mentioned that depending upon the culture, an earring in one ear for a man can be a signal to others that he is gay.
Finally, one woman shared that her tough and bull-dog-looking boyfriend wears earrings and it gives him a ‘biker look’. My guess is that he could wear high heels if he wants and nobody is going to bother him about it.
In summary, earrings on men can be a bold and individualistic statement. But they are perhaps one of the most daring things a man can do with his look. Get opinions from those you respect, then do what you want. You only live once and you’ll find out quick enough if wearing earrings is going to be a life-threatening decision.

I used to wear an earring. The girls always liked it, but I had a lot of comments from my buddies. They just didn’t get it. So I stopped.
Come on, folks. Beckham could wear an onion ring in his ear and he would look great. For the average guy, I’m not sure about earrings. You’d have to experiment.
I think anyone should be able to wear what they want – as long as they like it. Who cares if others think it looks good? Dress how you like to dress.
I think there’s no big deal about jewelry for men. I’d wear an earring, but I wouldn’t want to pierce my ear. Same think with tattoos. I wouldn’t want something permanent like that.
I love earrings on guys. I think it takes courage sometimes to do something others may criticize. But if he likes it, I admire that.
